ABOUT the AUTHOR
E.T. Milligan is a published author, award-winning poet, and an inspirational speaker. A native of Leesville, Louisiana, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in News-Journalism from Northwestern State University in 1981 while being commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Due to his outstanding performance as a cadet and a military officer, and his civic work, he was inducted into the Northwestern State University ROTC Demon Regiment Hall of Fame in 2019. He enjoyed a long military career in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2004. He continued to service 17+ more years as a federal civilian, thus totaling over 41 years of government service. He is a graduate of the Army's Command and General Staff College and served in command, staff, and joint Army positions. He also earned a Master's Degree in Administration from Central Michigan University in 1995.
As a published author, Milligan has published nine books, which includes a four-novel fiction detective series (The Blake Cutter Detective Series), a three-novel young-adult ghost series (The Looking Glass Ghost Series), which promotes self-esteem and character-building for youth through a fun-loving science fiction ghost drama, a biographical novel (On Linda: Love, Loss and Renewal: The Case for Human Organ Sharing) promoting organ donor awarenss, and a book of poetry (Images of Life). The fifth book in The Blake Cutter Detective Series will be published and released in 2027. Milligan is also the recipient of numerous book awards and two national poetry awards: The International Pen Award and Poet of Merit and the Editors Preference Award. Milligan founded ET Milligan Publishing LLC (an independent publishing company) in 2005 to help prospective authors learn the business of fiction writing and publishing. Milligan's company offers creative writing tutoring, editing, and fiction publishing services.
Milligan currently resides in the Fayetteville, North Carolina area.
