Just A Little About Myself

creative writer, poet and thriller author E.T. Milligan Publishing

Hello writing colleagues,

I am honored to become blog partners with you as we share information that will be useful to all of us in our journey toward success as a creative writer.

Just a little about myself that you won’t find on the website. I have been writing since I was about 13 years old. I was inspired to write by reading Don Pendleton’s ‘The Executioner Series’ paperback series. Since then, I’ve delved into writing young-adult fiction, adult detective fiction and poetry. I love helping others and I have a great desire to help my writing colleagues reach their goals in fiction writing and literary world at large.

I am not an editor or a graphic artist/designer. I am a storyteller. I can share my ideas and processes in creating stories but can’t ensure that you find the right editor, graphic arts, literary agent or publicist. That will take research. I will share with you in my blogs some good places to start.

My journey to attaining my goal of writing a detective novel series was long and arduous. It was a bumpy road but a road much traveled by many independent writers and publishers. I will try to share with you as many of my lessons learned as possible.

Look for my blog soon that will discuss the do’s and don’t’s of pursuing publishers and literary agents. I chose to be self-published and became an independent book publisher for many reasons. But for those of you who are seeking represented by a major publishing house, I will share with a few items of information that might help you get off on the right foot and not waste a lot of money in the process.

Okay, let’s get started. I look forward to our communication!!

Have a wonderfully creative day, week, month and year!
